Teen’s transition information event – Cafe Renoir

A massive thank you to all who attended our first teens information event in partnership with the Belfast Trust. This event was a great success and a wonderful opportunity for teens and parents to hear first hand how transition from the children’s to the adult’s service works and the perfect time to ask live questions to the team. If you would have liked to attend the event but were unable to, we made some notes!! In attendance was our new family support worker. He is affectionately known as the ‘New Cathy’ but his real name is Ross.

The Clinical Team From left to Right; Dr Chris Lockhart – Congenital Cardiologist Jan Gordon – Adult congenital heart disease clinical specialist Catherine Faulkner – Paediatric congenital heart disease clinical nurse specialist and Dr Brian Crossan – Paediatric congenital cardiologist They all described how they wish for the transition service to be smooth and seemless. Dr Chris assured families that as a team, they meet regularly for information sharing.
