Hugh and Kathleen Ward are kindly hosting an Open Garden weekend on Saturday 1st and Sunday 2nd July allowing a rare opportunity to explore the secrets and treasures of their private garden in aid of Children’s Heartbeat Trust.
Created over a 25-year period, both Hugh and Kathleen have established a 1.5-acre country garden planted with conifers, shrubs, roses and perennials. At this time of year it is showcasing the most wonderful display of colors and shades of greenery. The garden includes a sheltered seating area along with a Japanese themed corner and was featured on the BBC Television series ‘Greenmount Gardens’. Their garden is also listed in The Open Garden’s of Ireland book recently published by Shirley Lanigan.
Tattykeel House Open Garden Weekend will take place from 12 noon to 5pm on Saturday 1st and Sunday 2nd July 2017. Everyone is welcome to attend. A donation of £5 per Adult will be required on entry and all children must be supervised at all times.
