With such an amazing response to our first Hearty Hike last year, we are back for 2026 with a brand-new location!
Join us on Sunday 6th September at Cuilcagh Boardwalk Enniskillen, locally known as the Stairway to Heaven, to raise funds for children and young people with congenital heart disease in Northern Ireland.
Totalling around 7 miles from car park to the viewing platform and back, the walk begins in a farmland track through scenic wilderness of Cuilcagh Mountain. Then, traversing a wooden boardwalk to begin the steady climb of the mountain face to the final ascent – the infamous steps! The stairwell climbs through steeper terrain to reaching the viewing platform with breath-taking views of the surrounding lowlands.
Taking around 3 – 5 hours, you will be guided along the trail by professionals, who will support you in reaching the final peak.
Although this walk is primarily on boardwalk, this climb is still considered moderate to difficult in level, as the stairs are not for the faint of heart!
By joining our second annual Hearty Hike, you will know that every step you take is supporting little hearts.
