DESCRIPTION:Run the London Marathon!\nWe’re delighted to announce that Children’s Heartbeat Trust has secured two charity places for the TCS London Marathon in April 2027. \nTake on one of the world’s most iconic races and make every mile count for local children living with heart disease. \nThe London Marathon isn’t just a race – it’s a life-changing experience and when you run for a charity close to your heart it can become something even bigger! \nMake 2027 your year to take on this amazing and once in a life time challenge and give hope and support to local children and their families living with heart disease. \nWhy Run for Children’s Heartbeat Trust?\nEvery week in Northern Ireland\, four babies on average are born with heart disease and there are currently 4\,000 children and young people living with heart disease across N.I \nChildren’s Heartbeat Trust supports these children and their families by providing vital services to help them cope with the challenges that comes with living with heart disease. Support that makes a real difference every single day. \nFrom emotional support to funding vital equipment and resources\, the charity is there at every stage of a child’s journey. \nBy running London in 2027\, you’ll be helping us to continue to be their for little hearts now and into the future. \n\n\n\n\n\nHow do I apply?\nFirstly\, we recommend that you apply through the ballot system to see if you can secure a place. \nThis way\, you will receive the same support one of our charity place runners\, but there is no registration fee and no fundraising target\, we ask that you raise as much as you can. \n\n\n\n\n\nYou can enter the Ballot HERE. Results on whether you have been successful will be announced sometime in June 2026. \n\nIf you do not secure a place in the ballet and you are interested in taking one of our charity places\, please email lynn@childrensheartbeattrust.org and we will let you know when our application process opens – after the ballot results have been announced. \nAll applications forms received (when opened) will be reviewed\, and we’ll contact you using the details you provided to confirm whether you’ve been selected. \nWhen reviewing applications\, we consider factors such as: \n\nYour connection to Children’s Heartbeat Trust or motivation for running in aid of us\nYour previous fundraising experience (if any)\nIf you have ran London before or any other marathons\nHow confident you feel about reaching the minimum fundraising target\nYour ideas or plans for fundraising to reach this target\n\nPlease note: Submitting an application from does not guarantee a TCS London Marathon place.  \nTCS London Marathon Initial Charity Terms and Conditions \nOnce the successful participant has been awarded one of our two charity places a registration fee of £100 per participant will be requested to secure your place. This is non-refundable. \nThe entry is for one London Marathon place only. It does not include flights or accommodation. This must be arranged by the participant. \nWe ask the successful participants to raise a minimum of £2\,500 in sponsorship.
