SUMMARY:Hearty Hike
DESCRIPTION:  \nWith such an amazing response to our first Hearty Hike last year\, we are back for 2026 with a brand-new location! \nJoin us on Sunday 6th September at Cuilcagh Boardwalk Enniskillen\, locally known as the Stairway to Heaven\, to raise funds for children and young people with congenital heart disease in Northern Ireland. \nTotalling around 7 miles from car park to the viewing platform and back\, the walk begins in a farmland track through scenic wilderness of Cuilcagh Mountain. Then\, traversing a wooden boardwalk to begin the steady climb of the mountain face to the final ascent – the infamous steps! The stairwell climbs through steeper terrain to reaching the viewing platform with breath-taking views of the surrounding lowlands. \nTaking around 3 – 5 hours\, you will be guided along the trail by professionals\, who will support you in reaching the final peak. \nAlthough this walk is primarily on boardwalk\, this climb is still considered moderate to difficult in level\, as the stairs are not for the faint of heart! \nBy joining our second annual Hearty Hike\, you will know that every step you take is supporting little hearts. \nHere are all the details you need to know about Hearty Hike 2026: \n  \nEvent Details \nSunday 6th September 2026 \nRegistration Time: 10am sharp. \nLocation: Cuilcagh Boardwalk\, Enniskillen \nRegistration: \nEarly bird registration £22.00 (up until 31st July) and £30 thereafter. This is non-refundable and will include a goodie bag on the morning\, and medal on completion. \nMinimum Fundraising Target: £140 \nYou will receive your fundraising pack and t-shirt upon registration so you can raise as much sponsorship as possible for your challenge. \nT & C’s \n\nYou must be aged over 16 years old to complete the challenge. Anyone under 18 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian and participate also in the challenge.\nIn the event of extreme weather conditions\, the event may be subject to change.\nIf you have any form of medical condition\, you must seek advice from your doctor to certify you are fit and able to partake.\nOnly those registered to take part can attend the hike. DESCRIPTION:This February you can help raise funds and awareness in support of local heart children by wearing RED THIS FEB on Friday 12th February 2027. \nHow you can get involved:\nWhat? Wear red to show your support for local children living with heart disease Northern Ireland. \nWhere? At your school\, work or home. \nWhy? To raise vital awareness of Children’s Heartbeat Trust and to raise funds to help provide practical and emotional support to local children and young people with congenital heart disease here in Northern Ireland. \nWhen? Friday 6th February is our dedicated Rock Red day but don’t worry if this date doesn’t suit\, February is Heart Awareness Month so any day is a good day to hold your fundraiser. \nHow? Register to sign up. \nRegistration is not yet open but if you would like to hold a Wear Red Day please email jenna@childrensheartbeattrust.org \nWe would encourage you to hold a sponsored event where everyone rocks something red! You can be as wild or wacky as you like\, anything goes! You can get sponsored as part of the event or make a donation. \nMake sure to register and we will be in touch with your fundraising pack! \nAny funds raised will enable us to provide practical and emotional support to local children and young people with congenital heart disease. \n“There are no words to explain the complete support you would get from Children’s Heartbeat Trust\, especially whilst in hospital. They go over and beyond anything we could ever imagine. The CHT Team do amazingly well at checking in\, visiting us in hospital and offering emotional support. It is Portugal’s biggest running event. Support that makes a real difference every single day. \nFrom emotional support to funding vital equipment and resources\, the charity is there at every stage of a child’s journey. \nBy running London in 2027\, you’ll be helping us to continue to be their for little hearts now and into the future. \n\n\n\n\n\nHow do I apply?\nFirstly\, we recommend that you apply through the ballot system to see if you can secure a place. \nThis way\, you will receive the same support one of our charity place runners\, but there is no registration fee and no fundraising target\, we ask that you raise as much as you can. \n\n\n\n\n\nYou can enter the Ballot HERE. It’s a race built for personal bests and a roaring crowd that carries you all the way to the finish. Since its debut in 2015\, it has grown as one of the most popular in the SuperHalf Series.  While you’re running your legs off\, you’ll take in the very best of Copenhagen.  You’ll spot national landmarks like Christiansborg Palace\, the Marble Church\, and the Black Diamond library. This is non-refundable.  The entry is for one Copenhagen SuperHalf Series place only. It does not include flights or accommodation. This must be arranged by the participant. \nWe ask the successful participants to raise a minimum of £450 in sponsorship. SUMMARY:SuperHalf Series - Cardiff Half Marathon 2027
DESCRIPTION:Run Cardiff SuperHalf!\nWe’re delighted to announce that Children’s Heartbeat Trust has secured two charity places in each of the prestigious SuperHalfs races which will take you to Lisbon\, Prague\, Berlin\, Copenhagen\, Cardiff and Valencia in 2027. \nThese are the six top European half marathons offering unforgettable routes through historic cities and you have the chance to take part and make every mile count for local children living with heart disease! \nThe Cardiff Half Marathon will take place in October 2027 (Date TBC).  \nThe route will take runners past the capital’s most iconic landmarks. It starts outside Cardiff Castle\, past Principality and Cardiff City Stadiums. Runners will take in Penarth Marina\, before crossing the barrage and heading to Cardiff Bay past the Norwegian Church and Wales Millennium Centre. A loop of Roath Park lake is completed before the grandstand finish in Cardiff’s beautiful civic centre. \n\n\n\n\n\n\nThe SuperHalf Series isn’t just a race – it’s a incredible experience and when you run for a charity close to your heart it can become something even bigger.  Make 2027 your year to take on one\, some or all of the Super Half Series and give hope and support to local children and their families living with heart disease. \nWhy run for Children’s Heartbeat Trust?\nEvery week in Northern Ireland\, four babies on average are born with heart disease and there are currently 4\,000 children and young people living with heart disease across N.I \nChildren’s Heartbeat Trust supports these children and their families by providing vital services to help them cope with the challenges that comes with living with heart disease.
