On your side
The Family Engagement Group is a sub-group of the Network Board, dedicated to focusing on family and patient experiences, gathering and presenting feedback, and communicating changes to services and important information for families.
With representation from heart parents, clinical nurse specialists, clinical psychologists, social workers, and family support charities, this group serves as a vital link between the development of the network and its impact on heart families on both sides of the border.
The group continues to address key issues, such as financial family support payments for families travelling outside their country for treatment, and has developed a Family Charter outlining what a world-class CHD Network should look like for heart families.
The All-Island Congenital Heart Disease Network Annual Conference is a premier event that brings together healthcare professionals, researchers, patients, and families to advance the understanding and care of congenital heart disease (CHD).
