Additional Studies
At Children’s Heartbeat Trust, we believe in the power of research to shape better futures for children and young people living with congenital heart disease (CHD).
Fit Kids for Healthy Hearts Research Study
In 2017, Dr Sinead Callaghan completed a two-year research project to investigate the physical and psychological wellbeing of young children in Northern Ireland with structural heart disease with over 160 heart families participating.
Children’s Heartbeat Trust was delighted to provide financial support for this important research through the purchase of the systems and monitors required, funding and providing resources for the intervention days, and offering travel assistance to families to enable them to engage in the project.
