Ulster University
While our core focus is providing direct support to families and young people across Northern Ireland, we are proud to promote and help amplify important academic and clinical research studies that aim to improve understanding, care, and emotional wellbeing for those affected by CHD.
Baby Hearts Study
The aim of the study was to help understand whether environmental factors in early pregnancy increased the risk of babies being born with CHD.
Funding this research in partnership with Northern Ireland Chest, Heart & Stroke, the charity provided iPads and translation services for the project to encourage engagement amongst a wide range of expectant mothers.
The Ulster University team have released preliminary results and official findings will be available here soon.
