Volunteering

Giving young adults aged 18-21 with CHD the opportunity to support and give back to other local children, young people and their families who have been impacted by congenital heart disease in Northern Ireland.

What does it involve?

Once young people have progressed through our youth services and arrive into adulthood, they show a huge desire to want to give back and help others in the same position they faced as a young person with CHD. We listened and came up with our first volunteering and mentoring programme! We know, as young adults, the impact of the help and support you got in the past, so through an accredited volunteering and mentoring programme, you get a chance to give back and build your own skillset at the same time!

Throughout the year, we provide training and volunteering opportunities at some of the big charity events, youth programme activities or at our local family support groups.
