Youth council
It is so important for us to keep young people with CHD and heart families at the core of everything we do, so we are so excited to get our Youth Council up and running to help shape the future of CHT’s youth services.
What is the youth council?
Our Youth Council includes 12 members. Each member is between the ages of 12 and 21 to ensure fair representation across age groups and geographical areas, and each member has varying degrees of CHD.
Our Youth Council meets quarterly to input into the design of future youth services and evaluate existing youth services. Youth Council will regularly give feedback to Children’s Heartbeat Trust’s Board of Directors and represent the voices of young people living in Northern Ireland with CHD.
