In Episode 9 of the Heart Heroes Podcast, we’re joined by the wonderful Spence family, Susan and her incredible twins, Chloe and Lucy. We also welcome our new host, Katie, our Youth and Family Engagement Officer. Susan opens up about the moment she learned that not one, but both of her daughters had congenital heart conditions, and reflects on their journey as a heart family so far. We also hear from the incredible Chloe and Lucy, heart warriors and twin sisters, who have been each other’s anchor from diagnosis through surgeries, and continue to face life together with strength, joy, and resilience.
Chloe and Lucy are proud members of Glow, a dedicated group for children aged 7 to 10 living with congenital heart disease (CHD). Glow is one of the core groups within our exciting new youth initiative, Young Hearts. Young Hearts will give young people the knowledge, skills and support they need to make good decisions which will help their overall health and wellbeing.
