If your child is admitted to Clark Clinic it can take a while to get used to Hospital Life, especially if RBHSC isn’t your local hospital. Take a look at our hospital info and top tips below…
There is a fully equipped kitchen within the Heartbeat accommodation for the use of those parents staying there.
Meals and snacks can be purchased from Royal Belfast Hospital for Sick Children staff canteen between the hours of 8am – 6.30pm.
Hot drinks and snacks can be purchased from the Coffee Dock from 9.30am to 2.30pm in the foyer of the hospital.
The hospital shop is also in the main foyer of the hospital and open from 9.30am to 4.30pm. Here you can buy confectionary, pre packed sandwiches, magazines and toiletries.
The Royal Belfast Hospital for Sick Children is a No Smoking Hospital.
There aren’t any ATM facilities in the hospital. The shop and food outlets will accept cash only so you will need to bring cash with you or visit the main adult hospital to use the ATM. The adult hospital is a 5-minute walk from the Children’s Hospital.
As well as the main hospital car park, there is a car park outside the Children’s Hospital costing £5 per day (24hrs). If you are being admitted for more than 7-10 days ask the ward for a car parking pass. The ward has a limited amount of passes so these cannot be guaranteed. The passes cover a carpark outside of the hospital site, close to the Park Centre.
Boucher Road – As you come out the front doors of the hospital the Boucher Road is just off the Broadway roundabout to your right. The Boucher Road area has lots of shops selling food, clothing, toiletries and lots more. Shops include; Matalan, Boots, B&M Bargains, Next, Argos and lots more. There are also lots of food outlets including Costa Coffee, Frankie and Benny’s Nando’s etc.
Park Centre – Park Centre is beside the hospital by Broadway roundabout and has lots of clothing shops and a bank with ATM.
Falls Road – The Falls Road is at the back entrance of the hospital. Turn right to find shops such as newsagents, food outlets, ATM facilities, pharmacies and a launderette.
